Hello and welcome to Martelle. Thanks for stopping by and we hope you enjoy looking around our site and perhaps getting to know us a bit more about us.
Martelle Photography was formed in April 2012. Prior to that I guess you could say it was an expensive hobby.
Our story goes like this.....
We had been to a few friends' weddings and taken some candid and relaxed photographs throughout the day. Our photography had got some people talking and we had heard how our photographs really captured the essence of their day. Hearing these nice words, and after working really hard to improve our skills, knowledge and techniques, we shot our first wedding together! Since that day we have now shot over 50 weddings!
Its 2017 and we are coming up on our 5 year anniversary! How time flies and we can honestly say things have moved on so much since those early days. We have invested heavily in training, more training and continue to work hard to improve our style and techniques and have increased our equipment.
The first Martin remembers about photography was being about 6 years old and acting as 'model' for his dad who was using a Kodak Brownie to photography river scene!! He wasn't actually using him as a model - let's just say it was more a tactic to keep him out of mischief! In 2007 he invested in his first DSLR camera and hasn't looked back since. Martin now also teaches photography 1:1 with beginners.
Ellen is the backbone behind Martelle. She is pretty fab with a camera and is brilliant at looking after people on their big day. "So much more than a photographer" .... many a Bride has said!!
Both of us have warm, caring and friendly personalities. We will always try to go that extra yard to make your day as special as we can. We are an experienced husband and wife wedding photography team and an established Nottingham Wedding Photographer. Martelle have covered weddings across the East Midlands and have travelled further afield on occasion.
We believe that there are questions you should ask your wedding photographer and we welcome these should you have any. We have put together a set of questions which have been frequently asked and these can be found here - Frequently Asked Questions. Please get in touch if you have a question that isn't listed.
